Personal Data Processing Policy

This is a courtesy translation. In case of any discrepancy, the Spanish version prevails.

1. Data controller

This policy is issued in compliance with Colombian Law 1581 of 2012, Decree 1074 of 2015 (which compiles Decree 1377 of 2013) and any rules that amend or supplement them.

2. Data we collect

  • Identification and contact data: name, ID or tax number (when an electronic invoice is required), email, phone and shipping and billing addresses.
  • Purchase data: products, amounts, order history and grind or subscription preferences.
  • Browsing data: IP address, device, browser, pages visited and cookies, according to the preferences you choose in the cookie notice.
  • Data you send us voluntarily through forms, chat, WhatsApp or reviews.

We do not collect card data: payments are processed directly by the payment gateways (Wompi and Mercado Pago). We do not intentionally process sensitive data or data of minors.

3. Purposes

  • Processing, shipping and tracking your orders and subscriptions (Alma Silvestre Club).
  • Issuing electronic invoices and meeting legal, accounting and tax obligations.
  • Handling requests, complaints, claims, warranties and withdrawal or payment-reversal requests.
  • Sending you commercial information, news and promotions, only if you authorized it; you may withdraw this authorization at any time.
  • Asking you to review the products you bought.
  • Improving the store, measuring its performance and preventing fraud.

4. Your rights

As the data subject you have the right to: (a) know, update and correct your data; (b) request proof of the authorization granted; (c) be informed of how we have used it; (d) file complaints with the Superintendence of Industry and Commerce (SIC); (e) revoke the authorization and/or request deletion of the data when there is no legal or contractual duty to keep it; and (f) access your data free of charge.

5. How to exercise your rights

Write to contacto@almasilvestre.com with the subject "Personal data", stating your name, ID, your request and a way to reply.

  • Inquiries: answered within 10 business days, extendable by 5 more business days with notice of the reason.
  • Claims (correction, update, deletion or revocation): answered within 15 business days, extendable by 8 more business days with notice of the reason. If the claim is incomplete we will ask you to complete it within 5 days; if 2 months pass without a reply, it will be deemed withdrawn.

You may go to the Superintendence of Industry and Commerce only after completing this process with us.

6. Processors and international transfer

To run the store we share only the strictly necessary data with processors that handle it on our behalf: Shopify (store platform, servers in Canada and the United States), Wompi and Mercado Pago (payments), courier companies (shipping), Judge.me (reviews), Wizybot (support chat), email and electronic-invoicing providers, and analytics and advertising tools (for example Google and Meta) when you accept the corresponding cookies. Some of these providers are outside Colombia; by accepting this policy you authorize the international transmission and transfer of your data for the purposes described.

7. Cookies

We use cookies needed for the store to work (cart, checkout, security) and, only if you accept them, analytics and marketing cookies. You can change your preferences in the cookie notice or in your browser.

8. Security and retention

We apply reasonable technical, human and administrative measures to protect your data. We keep it as long as needed for the purposes described and for the periods required by law (for example, accounting and tax records).

9. Authorization

By registering, buying, subscribing to the newsletter or ticking the authorization box in our forms, you give prior, express and informed authorization for the processing of your data under this policy.

10. Validity and changes

This policy is effective from its publication. If we change it substantially, we will announce it on this site and, where appropriate, by email.
